Penang Hill

A Place to Chill – Penang Hill

Penang Hill, one of the most famous tourist destination in Penang, is about 6 km from centre of Georgetown. Overlooking Penang from 735m above sea level, the climate is cooler, which makes it a popular destination among tourists, as well as for the locals.

Penang Airport Bus (Rapid Penang)

Penang Airport Bus (Rapid Penang)

UPDATEd on 2018 April: Rapid Penang Service Airport Transit, an express bus route that saves you journey time as it skip several stops. Look for it’s code AT (Jeti – Airport / Airport – Jetty). The fare from Jetty or KOMTAR to the Airport is RM2.70.

AT route: Penang International Airport <> Sungai Nibong Bus Terminal <> (via Jelutong Expressway) <> KOMTAR <> Jetty

The main public bus in Penang is the Rapid Bus. To my experiences, they were average. I’m not a frequent bus traveler, so every time I wanted to board the bus I will do some homework first, through their website, which, I think is not that user friendly.

Rapid Penang serves as Penang Airport bus. The bus stop of the Penang International Airport is to the left when u come out from the building. Cross the road and you will need to go up the ramp and head to the left.

It is definitely the cheaper way to travel from airport compare to the taxis. For the route that I always take, the difference is a huge RM29.40. You can check the airport taxi fare this post – Penang Airport Taxi.

The 4 airport routes that provided by Penang Rapid Bus currently are as below:    Continue reading Penang Airport Bus (Rapid Penang)
